Consolidation Continues: Endeavor Acquired
Marshall Breeding analyzes Endeavor's recent acquisition by the new owner of Ex Libris, Francisco Partners. Breeding explains why Francisco Partners' merging of Ex Libris and Endeavor will form "a powerhouse in the academic library automation sector."
Breeding not only covers the publicly available transaction details, he also examines the merged company's product strategy and how that will affect Endeavor and Ex Libris library customers; discusses the organizational changes it will undergo as well as the scale of the new entity; and provides a brief history of Endeavor.
